Houston-based International Indian Artist Gopaal Seyn presented his work to Howdy Modi Committee Chair Jugal Malani at the Partnership’s Q4 International Trade Development Committee meeting to mark the historic visit of Prime Minister Modi to Houston. The event was the largest gathering of the Indian diaspora outside of India in history with some 55,000 attending. Prime Minister Modi also met with 16 energy companies in Houston. In 2018 the Partnership led a trade mission of 40 Houstonians to India with Mayor Turner, Gopaal Seyn, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston, Houston First, and many others. Year-to-date Houston exports to India are up more than +55.6 percent. Sukanti Ghosh, SVP and lead of the South Asia Practice, Albright Stonebridge Group keynoted the meeting with his talk highlighting India.
